In December of 2022, the Nelson and District Arts Council presented a day of free, virtual workshops to help artists and arts presenters reduce accidental harm in their work.

Outside the Box

The Nelson & District Arts Council is proud to present the first-ever installment of Outside the Box, a project which wires artists from across disciplines together to create cutting-edge interdisciplinary work.

Hannah DeBoer-Smith

Hannah has gained her certificate in Fine Woodworking from Selkirk College, and holds a BA in Public Administration and Community Development.

Stephanie Kellett

Stephanie has a bachelor's in Art History from UVic, a diploma in Fine Arts from UBC, and thirteen years as a semi-to-full-time artist.

She joined the Nelson Civic Theatre in 2022 and defines her role as a “smooth operations facilitator”.
