The Nelson and District Arts Council has teamed up with The Narrows Art Retreat to create The Narrows Artist Residency, located at Grohman Creek—a short boat ride from the City of Nelson.
The residency provides local artists with a retreat style setting to work on, or develop, their visual art, creative writing, or music composition.
The residency is open to artists residing in the Nelson region and consists of a one-week shared residency, with a food allowance, at The Narrows Art Retreat.
Boat travel will be provided to and from the retreat centre with one additional round trip for supplies and food if necessary.
