Nelson Dance Educators’ Showcase

The Nelson Dance Educators’ Showcase returns on Saturday, November 16th to the Capitol Theatre.

Witness the amazing array of dance styles taught and practiced in our community at this evening presentation that brings our talented local dance educators onstage with their students.

It’s Showtime

We are thrilled to announce the return of the Dance Educators’ Showcase on Saturday, November 16th at 7:30 PM. This highly anticipated event spotlights the incredible dance educators in Nelson and area, giving them the opportunity to shine after countless hours spent nurturing their students’ growth. Tickets are available here.

For one night only, these talented instructors (and some students as well) will come together for a rare performance that showcases their artistry, passion, and dedication to dance. Audiences will be treated to a wide range of styles and performances, highlighting the creativity and expertise that these educators bring to our community.

Making Dance Accessible

All ticket sale profits from this event will be transformed into bursaries to support dance students who might not otherwise be able to afford dance education. These bursaries are distributed among the participating dance schools and studios, helping the next generation of dancers pursue their dreams.

2021

As a COVID pivot of our annual Dance Educators’ Showcase, which sees sold out crowds come together to support the dance professionals in the community, we opted to create four films featuring solo dancers and local performance artists. It also gave us the opportunity to engage with professional videographers, and ensured that our local performance artists were paid professional wages for their work.
