We have a raised stage, a shaded priority seating area, a kids activity tent, a first aid tent, and an info tent. We have misters on site, and the wheelchair-accessible public washrooms at the Nelson Visitor’s Centre will be open until 10:30 pm on Saturday, August 10th.
The parking lot at 91 Baker Street is an accessible space, close to public transit, and centrally located to restaurants, cafes etc.
Find us in Nelson’s iconic Railtown! We transform the parking lot of the Nelson Visitor’s Centre at 91 Baker Street into our mainstage and dance floor.
There is some public parking available in the vicinity of the Railtown Stage, but the closest spots can fill up quickly during the festival. When possible, we encourage you to carpool, bus, walk, or bike to the festival.
We typically don’t have enough space for vendors at our site, and because we are located in the heart of Nelson, we encourage festival-goers to take advantage of the incredible restaurants and amenities that Nelson has to offer. Many of these businesses sponsor the festival and we want to show them as much love as possible.
We are a rain or shine festival! If it’s hot, we will have misters set up and a priority shade tent with seating for seniors, young children, and anyone else in need. Remember to bring water (avoid glassware), sunscreen, and a hat! All systems will be go—even if it rains.
In the event of heavy wildfire smoke, the festival will be moved to an alternate, indoor location.
Maps will be available at the NDAC info tent at the festival site in the alley behind the Hume Hotel, 422 Vernon Street (Friday) and 91 Baker Street (Saturday), as well as at the Visitor’s Centre and supporting businesses downtown.
