Jamie Adams is an emerging Métis artist, currently residing in Trail BC. She is a single mother, student of psychology and intuitive artist, whose practice centers on relationship – to self, community, and land. Adams approaches art as both mirror and pathway: a tool for self discovery, expression, and reflection. For Adams, art reflects life with its emphasis on process; each brushstroke, layer, and collaboration becomes part of an unfolding story.

Adams’ work explores identity, vulnerability, interconnection, and growth, holding space for emotional honesty and personal narrative. Through layered materials and symbolism, Adams reflects the complexity of lived experience – how memory, relationships, and place shape who we become.

Adams has contributed to projects connected with Nelson International Mural Festival and has worked collaboratively with different schools in the Kootenay area engaging with and inspiring youth, turning blank canvases into living spaces within community. Engaging passersby, collaborating with artists, and responding to place are as meaningful as the finished piece.

Grounded in an Indigenous worldview, Adams understands creativity as responsibility and connection. Whether working independently or with youth, they use art to foster courage, reflection, and belonging – a reminder that growth, like art, is layered, relational, and always unfolding.
