Gita is a longtime resident of Nelson and a graduate of the Textiles Arts program, as well as the Office Administration program, at Selkirk College.

She joined the Nelson Civic Theatre in 2022 and defines her role as a “smooth operations facilitator”. At work, Gita is everywhere and anywhere that is needed, performing all the multi tasking, troubleshooting, quick decision making, communication, and coordination duties that ensure the efficient functioning of a movie theatre.

Away from work, Gita loves to spend time with her family exploring the local area, perusing artisan shops, visiting cafes, enjoying beautiful nature hikes, and spending afternoons with friends playing Dungeons and Dragons.
