Daniela joined the board of directors in 2024. Her role involves meeting with the board to discuss projects, budgets, and schedule so as to promote and stimulate the ongoing development of cultural projects in the Nelson area.

Daniela brings two decades of theatre production and public relations expertise from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to her role here in Nelson. She loves that Nelson is a town where people really care about each other and smile at one another when walking down the street.

Daniela’s areas of expertise include theatre, communications, and public relations and she is also part of two bands in town: Moving Mosaic Samba Band and Baque Zero Graus. She loves the silence and peace of the Kootenay mountains and the beaches in Brazil, which she states are the “best ones for sure!”
