‘Barry O’ started painting professionally in 1986. Custom T-shirts and helmets were the beginning, then he shifted to painting murals for nightclubs and a variety of businesses.
In 2000-2003 he had a stint with F&D Scene Changes Ltd. in Calgary painting backdrops & props for Disney, Broadway, Universal Studios and Cirque du Soleil, amongst others.
He has been reproducing a lot of historical photos lately and hopes to diversify his portfolio. Barry Overn is currently living in Portugal, painting a series entitled ‘Tavira Bikes’.
