The Nelson Museum, Archives & Gallery celebrates the creativity, the history, and the vibe that is Nelson.
Located in a stunning 1902 heritage building in the heart of the historic downtown district, Nelson’s only public museum and archives offers a friendly atmosphere in an exciting state-of-the-art facility. The Nelson Museum is one of only two organizations in Canada to house a permanent installation of Jaime Black’s The REDress Project, and also features one of the few Cold War Bunkers open to the public.
Two art galleries offer 2000 sq/ft of stimulating content, featuring award-winning exhibitions and renowned artists from across the country. There is also a delightful Gift Shop featuring over 120 local artists.
