Michelle Hart (she/her) is a multidisciplinary theatre-maker specializing in performance, writing, directing, and comedy development. Based in Nelson, BC, she has spent the past several years producing and developing original live performance, creating opportunities for local artists while building sustainable audiences for comedy and theatre in the region.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Mount Allison University and has trained, taught, and performed with theatre and comedy institutions across North America. She is a two-time Pat & Tony Freedom Fund recipient, has received an Outstanding Sketch/Improv Productions award from My Entertainment World, and has been featured at JFL42 on SiriusXM’s Just For Laughs. Was a head Writer on Southern Interior, a Nelson-based  comedy project funded by Bell Media. Most recently, she completed a Second City Toronto mainstage run in Rizz The Season and was selected for the Just For Laughs Vancouver Character Showcase.

Michelle currently serves as Co-Director of The Canadian Improv Games: Improv Camp and teaches improv at Nelson Studio 88. Michelle is passionate about supporting creative risk-taking and accessible artistic opportunities within the Kootenays.
